PRP Injections
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections are an advanced method of repairing and regenerating tissue, as well as stimulating collagen synthesis. The patient’s blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the concentrated platelet rich plasma from the red blood cells. The PRP is then injected into the treatment area for direct delivery and results. Over time, the platelets in the PRP stimulate collagen production, which can help your skin to fill in wrinkles naturally.
Some mild pain and swelling may occur in the injection site. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve the results you desire. Those who have been diagnosed with thyroid disease, take blood thinners, or have cancer or chronic liver disease cannot be treated with PRP injections.
